Chapter One The climb up the vines never seemed to get any easier, and the young man's heart still pounded in his chest several minutes after he had made his nightly ascent to the balcony, although the closeness of the lovely young lady in a white linen nightgown may have contributed to his cardiac distress. As ever, the sight of her pale, delicate face filled his soul with joy and made him want to run in circles shouting her name. This night, however, there were other matters weighing on his mind and the young lady was quick to notice. "Are you ill, Romeo?" she asked in concern "You seem uneasy this night." "No, my darling Juliet, I am as healthy as ever" he replied, bringing her fingers to his lips. "Did the Capulet guardsmen try to harm you?" she asked again, alarm in her voice. "No, no, my sweet love, this has been a day of peace in Verona" replied Romeo again, still not meeting her eyes. Juliet's face paled. Her ruby red lips trembled as a dreadful thought passed through her mind. "Your heart has changed! You love me no more!" she cried out in anguish. Stunned at this accusation, Romeo dropped to his knees, pressing his face to her lap. "Never! I would sooner be devoured by the lions of the ancient Caesars than forsake you." "Then why do you turn from my gaze like one who is the bearer of dire tidings?" she demanded in frustration. Slowly, in a voice that reeked of foreboding, Romeo replied. "I fear that I am unworthy of your love, fair Juliet. My soul is tainted with such evil that even the good Friar Laurence would despair to shrive me." "What is this monstrous evil that you do claim? Have you murdered? Have you blasphemed? Have you stolen?" wailed Juliet, her eyes wide in horror. In a voice filled with disgust and self loathing, Romeo explained that he had been out with his cousin Benvolio that morning where they had been witness to a quarrel between a man and his spouse, viewed through the open doorway of that couple's humble home. The woman's shrill and nagging tone had drawn their attention as they passed by, causing them to pause. Suddenly, the husband had leapt upon her. "Pressing his wife against the wall with his hand on the middle of her back, he lifted her skirts with his other hand and did proceed to beat her exposed buttocks mercilessly with a switch drawn from the bundle of firewood that lay near the fireplace. " "Surely, dear Romeo, the glimpse that you may have caught of the unfortunate woman's bare body could not have tainted you so sorely. Or do you fear that I too will someday become a screaming harridan such as that?" "No my love, it is not what I saw that I fear. It is what I felt. As I watched the peasant scourge the flesh of his wife, mine own flesh did betray me" he confessed, his eyes dropping to his codpiece. Juliet's gaze did follow his, and for a long moment her brows furrowed in puzzlement. However, although she was but fourteen years old, Juliet was in many ways more knowledgeable in the ways of men and women than the dashing Romeo, as she had been tutored for many years by her loving and faithful Nurse in the arts of being a woman. Suddenly, it was as if a cool breeze had swept away the webs of panic that Romeo's strange behavior had woven. She realised what had driven Romeo to such panic. "My love," she began, taking his hand in hers "you did find yourself aroused by the sight of the goodwife's chastisement, did you not?" Romeo nodded miserably. "And you fear that from the lust so born, you might raise your hand to me?" deduced Juliet. "I am a beast!" cried Romeo, tearing at his hair. "No my Romeo, you are a man, with the lusts and desires of a man." She placed her hands on his shoulders, bringing her face close to his. "My nurse has told me of the natural enjoyment that some men find in the physical chastisement of a woman's body." "Fiends!" declared Romeo, tears falling from his eyes. Seeing that Romeo was too far sunken in his self loathing to listen, Juliet suddenly reached out and dragged Romeo's rapier from its scabbard and placed the edge to her throat. Shocked out of his depression by a swordsman's instinctive reaction to having someone tamper with his blade, Romeo's jumped up in alarm, his eyes locked on the deadly shimmering steel pressed to his loved one's flesh. "Juliet! No! What do you ." "Tell me, my love, does this excite you? Would it bring the heat to your loins to use your sword on me?" she demanded. "What madness is this!" shouted Romeo in alarm. "How could you think that I would do such a thing?" "Then you do not wish me harm." said Juliet in a calm voice. "I . I would never harm you!" stuttered Romeo slowly in realisation as he gently took the sword from her hands and slid it back into its resting place by his hip. "But ." "Tell me oh lover of mine," said Juliet, cutting off his protest, "do you not intend to take my maidenhood on our wedding night?" A flush rose to Romeo's wan cheeks. "Of course I do!" he replied uncomfortably, not being used to having a woman speak so openly of sexual matters. "And just how did you think to accomplish this feat without causing me pain or drawing my blood?" she demanded sarcastically. Romeo stared at her, dumfounded. "When we wed, I shall promise to give my body and soul to your keeping and to obey you in all things, as a good wife should. I wish to please you in all the ways that a woman can." Juliet stepped slowly up to the stunned Romeo and pressed her linen clad body against him. The stiff folds of his doublet indented her skin like the bark of an old weathered oak tree. Juliet continued, "As long as you use my body with love and joy, what matters it if my flesh is kissed by your lips or by your lash." She rested her cheek contentedly on his chest, and the pounding of his strong, loyal heart came clearly to her ear. Chapter Two "In ten days I am to wed Paris. If we are to be together we must act soon." said Juliet, looking up at Romeo's face. What she saw disturbed her. Although the misery was gone, lingering doubt still showed in his eyes. She knew that her lover still did not fully trust his own nature. "My darling, if we are to face the combined wrath of both our families I need you to be strong." she pleaded. "How can you trust me when I do not truly trust myself?" replied Romeo, looking down at his hands as if expecting them to suddenly act independently of his will. "So be it. This night shall see your true nature brought out to its fullest. If I am so wrong in my belief in you, I would know it now and not in some future time when I have denied my family and friends." declared the young woman, determination ringing in her voice. "What is this proof that you speak of Juliet?" asked Romeo in confusion. Juliet did not reply. Turning, she walked over to a chest by the side of her bed. Opening it, she drew out a leather strap the length of her forearm. Returning, she place the strap in Romeo's hands. "I had dreamt that you would see my body only on the night of our wedding, when we would consummate our love as man and wife. However, I see that my frail woman's flesh needs to serve a more urgent task this night if our love is to survive" whispered Juliet as she unlaced the front of her gown, letting the long white garment fall from her shoulders, to run like a torrent of cream down her slim pale body, forming a halo around her feet. Rendered speechless by the sudden realisation of a million dreams, Romeo could only stare in wonder at the beauty so suddenly and gloriously presented to his wide and staring eyes. Stepping briskly up to Romeo, the naked girl knelt in front of him and began to unlace his codpiece and the front of his breeches. In a trice, Romeo's manhood lay exposed to her gaze. After a moment's consideration she giggled. "What do you find so amusing woman?" asked Romeo, his male pride pricked by her laughter. Shaking her head, Juliet said "I do not laugh at you my love. It is just that despite the telling of my Nurse, your manhood does not look as I had imagined!" She giggled again. Rising, she stood facing her man again. "The leather that you hold was entrusted to my Nurse years ago by my father, who ordered that it be used as the instrument of my punishment should my behavior so warrant it. Being a good and dutiful daughter, this tool has lain unused in that chest these many years. It seems that it shall now finally serve its intended purpose." She took several paces back to stand in the center of her room. With her eyes on his manhood, she spoke again. "Where then shall I bear your chastisement? Perhaps on my buttocks as did the goodwife?" she asked. Her words brought a twitch to Romeo's tool. "Though that would serve as a beginning, surely I am not to be punished like a delinquent child? If my chastisement is to serve the purposes of love, perhaps some other parts of my body, intended for love should share in the game." With a mischievous smile, she brought her hands up to her fair budding breasts, covering the pink nipples with her fingertips. Romeo's organ showed a definite movement, giving a good imitation of the flagstaffs that adorned the castle walls. "Ah hah! " cried Juliet, "My arrow finds its mark!" she declared gleefully. "And what of that place that is the true font of femininity? Though my maidenhead must remain sacrosanct, surely my loins are not to be denied their part!" By now, Romeo's manhood would have served to support the roof should the columns of stone have suddenly failed. A wave of lust swept through his young body, the like of which he had never known before. He took a single step towards the naked girl, then stopped, torn by his emotions. Thrusting her buttocks out boldly, Juliet cried out "Come then! If you are a man. If you would be MY man, do that which you desire!" Upon hearing her words, his arm moved, swinging the strap as if in sword practice. A sharp `Crack!' sounded loudly in the room as his blow painted a red stripe across Juliet's out thrust buttocks. Blazing heat seemed to flow from her reddened flesh up through the length of the strap and into Romeo's body. "Yes!" he cried. "Again my love. Strike!" urged Juliet, caught up in the same torrent of emotion and lust. The strap swung again and again, until six red lines had been painted across the lily white orbs of her bottom. To her surprise, the pain was unlike any she had ever felt. The sharp heat of it was as much pleasure as pain, causing her to moan in confusion, though some might have said the sound to be an utterance of pure lust. Without a word, she turned to face her lover, lifting her arms to present the pink tipped peaks of her breasts. The strap flew out as if to kiss the curve of her left breast, its impact forcing the flesh inwards like the tight band of a gown's bodice. The bite of the leather on her nipple burned like fire across the front of her body. With a groan of determination, she turned her other breast towards Romeo, inviting the sting of his touch. Romeo's arm swung back from left to right, sweeping the leather across her proffered flesh, painting a twin to the crimson ribbon that the left side of Juliet's chest bore. His manhood was swollen to an almost purple ripeness that throbbed painfully and he could feel the pounding of his heart through every part of his body. Swept on by the rekindled fire that she saw in Romeo's eyes, the panting girl offered him the ultimate temptation. Surely, if anything could drive him to lose control and unleash any demons that may hide in his soul, it was what she was about to do. Almost running, she moved to the end of her bed. Seating herself on the edge, she leaned back. Supporting herself on her elbows, Juliet spread wide her thighs and revealed to Romeo what no man had ever seen. The red and pink softness of her womanhood blossomed like a rose, damp from the dew of morning. "This part of me is meant to give you pleasure my darling" she cried out, "and if it must do so by suffering under your lash, then I open it to you gladly." Driven almost to madness by his lust and the feeling of power that the whipping of this beautiful girl had brought him, Romeo raised his arm to strike, a sound almost like a war cry coming from his throat. The urge to bring the strap down with all his might on the flower of her loins called to him like the sirens' irresistible song. Faced with her demon, Juliet gazed at Romeo with eyes filled with love and acceptance. Like the gentle light of dawn sweeping away the dark terrors of the night, her loving smile suddenly banished the madness from Romeo's heart. Dropping to his knee, Romeo bent forward to gently kiss Juliet's womanhood. "No. Not like that. Never like that" he declared softly. Happiness filled Juliet's heart. His love was true! The eyes of the lovers met for an eternal moment sharing the knowledge that their love would survive their lifetime and beyond. Then she saw the rigid swollen staff of Romeo's maleness and she knew that she had to finish what she had begun. Gently, she said "In the name of our love then, I offer my gift to you again" as she spread wide her thighs. With a intensity of feeling that he had never known, Romeo swept the lash down to kiss her moist flesh. Once, twice, thrice, Romeo accepted the girl's gift of loving pain as the strap flew true and straight to fall between those welcoming nether lips. That final intimate blow was more than mortal flesh could bear and Romeo's seed burst forth for the first time in his life to land like a string of shining oriental pearls on his lover's belly. Dropping the lash, Romeo swept Juliet up in his arms and the two lovers fell into an embrace that would have lasted unto death, save that a discreet tapping sounded at the chamber door. "Dawn!" gasped Juliet. "You must fly my love. Go!" Romeo fastened his garments with clumsy haste and ran to the balcony. For one last moment he looked back at Juliet, who stood holding her nightgown modestly in front of her. "Fear not my love. We shall soon be together for all eternity" he cried "and the dawn will separate us no more." The End.
